Personal Statement

Winning the East meet West tournament at Belleville was the highlight of my middle school career. On the other hand, my biggest challenge was having to watch my team lose the Chris Paulin tournament while I was injured. This situation helped me grow the most as a student-athlete. I could not participate and help my teammates and that was very hard for me. That experience still helped me grow. It reminded me to always be a good teammate no matter what the circumstances are, to have a good work ethic and to always be mentally prepared and give all the effort to become a versatile player who can play college basketball. 

I'm fortunate to be a part of an amazing basketball team. I learned the true value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, effort and leadership in hard moments. I'm looking for a college program that I will fit in academically and athletically. I know the true meaning in being a student-athlete, the student comes first, I have all the qualities needed to be a leader, hard worker and respectful player on your team.
