Personal Statement
I love basketball and have been playing since I could, as early as Kindergarten! I've played on every school and travel team that I could as well as during numerous AAU seasons. On top of this, I am a hard-working student. Despite my dyslexia, I maintain an A/B average in all of my classes due to my work ethic and perseverance. I have learned that things do not come easily and you have to work for them, which has driven me to just work harder. I am a three sport athlete, playing field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse. Additionally, I have been a Girl Scout since I was in Kindergarten and I've earned the top awards a Scout can earn: the Bronze, the Silver, and the Gold Awards. I finished the Girl Scout Gold Award, which is comparable to the Eagle Award, in August of 2024 and worked for over 100 hours in my community to combat social isolation and loneliness. I try my best in all things that I do and I've learned to balance my academics and my athletics. Because of this, I know that I will be successful in playing basketball in college.
