Personal Statement
Hello coaches,
I am Addy, and I am a competitor. I love winning, and I strive to be the best in whatever I do. Especially in sports and school. I want to get my PhD in child behavioral studies, to become a psychologist. Even though I am only a freshman, I understand the importance of my schooling immensely. I currently have a 4.0 GPA, 4.13 weighted, and fully intend on keeping it through high school. I have many plans to take both honors and AP classes later on in my high school experience, along with college credit classes, to prepare me for my future. I have also always had plans to coach a volleyball team when I am older. I believe wholeheartedly that sports and coaches save lives. It has definitely made mine something amazing and has always been there for me when I am going through a rough time. I remember being a little girl watching college volleyball, always in awe, and it gave me a drive to do that. To be that person other little girls want to be when they grow up and help them get there.
I have always wanted to be a dependable person on and off the court. I am someone who you can count on to be there for someone when they need me and to be in the right defensive spot. I am a versatile player who is always ready to improve and learn new things. I always try to get along with others as well. I am a definite extrovert who loves meeting and learning about others. I also always try to break walls down with honesty and fully believe that almost all problems can have a solution if you work hard enough to find it. I am not a fan of when people say I can't do things. It makes me learn how to do it and I love proving others wrong. I am someone who can depend on to excel at what I am doing and or learning. I also love feedback. It tells me what I can do better and how to improve.
I believe that with the right feedback and given opportunities, I can excel, not just in volleyball, but in life. Thank you for reading.
