Personal Statement
My softball journey started before I could even spell the word. Growing up, softball wasn’t just a game—it was a family tradition. My mom and aunts were all pitchers who owned the mound in high school and even took their talents to the college level.
From the first time I stepped onto the field, I knew I loved the game. The sound of the bat hitting the ball, the excitement of a perfect play, and the feeling of being part of a team hooked me right away. Softball isn’t just a sport for me—it’s my passion.
As a travel ball player and a member of the Mineral Point High School team, I’ve put in countless hours working on my pitching, fielding, and hitting. Every practice and game is a chance for me to grow as both a player and a person. I love the challenges the game brings, whether it’s staying mentally tough on the mound or making quick decisions on the field. The adrenaline, strategy, and competition push me to give it my all every time.
Balancing school and sports has had its ups and downs. Living with Dyslexia has made things harder, but it’s also taught me how to stand up for myself and find different ways to learn. These skills have helped me in the classroom and on the field, where being able to think fast and adapt is just as important.
Looking ahead, my dream is to play softball in college. I’m excited about the chance to join a new team, represent a school, and keep doing what I love while getting an education. I know college softball will come with challenges and new opportunities, but it's exciting to me! My love for the game and everything I’ve learned so far will help me along the way.
