Personal Statement

My name is Will Shepard, I'm a dual sport athlete in Football and Baseball, Class of 2027. It is my goal to one day compete in a respected program after high school. Football is my first love, but I play baseball in high school as well - I feel like baseball helps me learn different angles and anticipation. It is my goal to be a part of a football program that will develop me as a person and an athlete, continue to build my character and allow me to compete on the field to help get myself and my teammates better. Education is most important, I can't play football forever, so I want to be able to get a degree in Agriculture that will prepare me to continue my family's business.  I experienced a season ending injury during my 9th grade year and worked extremely hard to get back to playing shape. This only made me realize how special it is to GET the opportunity to play the game I love - nothing is given and everything can be taken away in a moment. I have perspective of this and will never forget it.
