Personal Statement

As a 6’2”, 220 lbs defensive end and tight end at Folsom High School, I’ve always been driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence both on and off the field. My dedication to sports extends beyond football—I’ve been the varsity heavyweight wrestler since my freshman year. Wrestling has sharpened my mental and physical toughness, complementing the skills I bring to the football field. 

My goal is to attend a Division 1 school, where I can lead the league in sacks and tackles while pursuing a college degree in Engineering. Engineering captivates me because it challenges the mind and demands innovative thinking—qualities that resonate with my approach to both football and wrestling. On the field and the mat, I am known for my strategic mindset and determination to outwork my opponents. In the classroom, I apply the same level of focus to solving complex problems and understanding the principles that shape our world.

I believe that with the right balance of academics and athletics, I can achieve my aspirations of excelling at the collegiate level and making a lasting impact both as an athlete and an engineer. I am eager to contribute to a team that values hard work, integrity, and a commitment to excellence while also preparing myself for a future where I can innovate and build in the field of engineering.
