Personal Statement
Thank you for your interest! My name is Mairen Kellogg. I am a 2009 ECNL outside back/defensive midfield player for Real Colorado. As a dedicated student-athlete, my journey in sports has shaped not only my character but also my aspirations for the future. Competing for Real Colorado and Regis Jesuit High School have taught me the value of hard work, resilience, and teamwork—lessons I carry both on and off the field.
From a young age, soccer has been a significant part of my life and I have continued to commit myself to excellence, balancing rigorous training schedules with academic responsibilities. I have learned to manage my time effectively, ensuring I remain focused in the classroom while striving for success on the pitch.
Currently, I am captain of my club team and was awarded All-Conference honors during my first high school varsity soccer season. These experiences have taught me the importance of leadership and perseverance. I have often taken on roles that required motivating my teammates and fostering a positive environment, which I believe are vital qualities for success in college athletics.
Academically, I maintain a GPA of 4.32 while taking a combination of honors and AP classes. I understand that being a student-athlete requires dedication in both areas, and I am committed to continuing my education alongside my athletic career.
Looking ahead, I aspire to compete at the highest collegiate level, where I can challenge myself and grow as both an athlete and an individual. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to a program that values hard work, integrity, and a strong sense of community.
My experience as a dedicated athlete, combined with my academic achievements and passion for continuous growth, makes me a strong candidate as a collegiate athlete. I am eager to bring my skills, work ethic, and determination to a college team where I can further develop my abilities and make a positive impact.
