Personal Statement

My name is Blair Castle and I am Class of 2027, and basketball is my passion! I definitely want to play college basketball at the highest level and believe that the time and effort I put into basketball and training can help me achieve this. I feel empowered to lead my team and want to continue to be a leader for my fellow athletes and those who come up behind me. I want to be a leader on and off the court and work hard in my academics to maintain a GPA that will allow me to be successful. I feel like I am an all around dynamic player and can compliment any team with both my offensive and defensive skills. I play agressively on defense to defend against my opponent to force turnovers, can handle the ball with hustle and control, and can score from deep threes, drive in to execute layups, and take short mid range shots when able.  I am a team player and look for assist opportunities. I feel I can be set apart from other recruits with my ability to read the game play. I thrive on watching film and am able to learn and strategize from this in real game experiences. I balance being busy with life, school, and basketball well.
