Personal Statement

I only began playing tackle football recently in my life. However, that has not stopped me from pursuing my love for the sport. Ever since I was little, I pursued football by way of flag football; winning MVP and All-Conference for my school in my sophomore year. Since then, I have aspired to play football at a collegiate level. From my love of the game to know it is a once-in-a-lifetime event, I knew I would if I had the opportunity to play. 

I have a strong will when it comes to playing, I keep my teammates' heads up in all circumstances, I play physical ball, and I am not afraid to get dirty. I am a team leader and lead my teammates by example. Something I have always taken to heart was something my father says, "If you are gonna do something, make sure you do it right." I try my best to live by that and hold my teammates to the same standard. As a newer player, I understand I have much to learn and that mistakes lead to improvement opportunities. I am very coachable because of this and I always look to improve my game. 

Continuing this idea, I also work hard in the classroom. My willingness to take the harder classes and my academic achievements show this quality. I will continue this grind at the collegiate level and I value a school where I can play ball and better myself academically.
