Personal Statement

My name is Thomas DiGregorio and I am currently a Sophomore at Saint Joseph by the Sea HS in Staten Island, NY.  I am 5'8" 175lbs and have played both MLB and RB from the start of my tackle career beginning at 6 years old throughout my Freshman year.  I received Overall MVP on JV as a  Freshman and moved up to play Varsity my Sophomore season as starting RB and Special Teams.   Currently I have a 3.5 GPA but working diligently to improve overall. I give everything 110% in all I put my mind into.  

I was raised to love the game.  My Dad has inspired me since I was very young and helped guide me through out so many years of playing. I was taught to lead by example - that my actions are a reflection of what others perceive me to be.  I want to continue to help lead my team, lead by example and strive to be the best I can be in the classroom and on the field.  Being one of the only Freshman to move up to play Varsity as a Sophomore, I was starting RB for my team and played hard.  I am a team player, I encourage my teammates when needed and maintain a positive attitude. 

They say it takes one person to make a difference in a person's life.  I am going to keep my faith strong and continue to succeed in all I do to the best of my ability and look to my mentors for continued guidance.  

I hope there is that one coach out there, who sees my ability for what it truly is and believes in me.
