Personal Statement

At 6 years old, my parents signed me up to play football in a Youth Football Association in Saint Augustine, FL.  After the first practice, I quickly fell in love with the sport and as I got older, I learned that my dream was to play College Football at a high level.  I have strong aspirations of being a Student-Athlete at a university or college, receiving my Bachelor's Degree, and making my family, especially my parents, proud!

On the field, I am a versatile athlete, I have a high football IQ, and I believe that I can bring a lot to a college roster.  I am a powerful back who can do multiple things on the field offensively such as getting tough yards on 3rd downs, opening running lanes for the tailback, and catching the ball out of the backfield.  Defensively, I am always instigating the initial contact, stopping the run by quickly closing the gaps, and a physical tackler play after play.  I am an unselfish player who will always put the team's goals above any of my personal goals.  I will always be a Leader on and off the field, leading by example, and keeping my teammates motivated to get better every single day.  I will also work hard on the field and in the weight room to continue to get stronger, quicker, and faster every day.

As a Student-Athlete, I understand that "student" comes first.  I will always work hard in the classroom and maintain a high GPA.  I am a role model for young athletes in our youth programs and our community.  My integrity, character, and name are extremely important to me and I will always display honesty, responsibility, authenticity, and trustworthiness while always staying humble.  

I believe I have a bright future and have been raised by successful parents who were also collegiate student-athletes themselves.  I believe that I will follow in their footsteps and make them extremely proud of my accomplishments.
