Personal Statement
Welcome to my profile, thank you for checking me out!! I'm very excited to be a part of this process and have the opportunity to continue playing softball while achieving my academic goals.
I started playing softball when I was 8 and started pitching when I was 9. I had never played softball, just tennis, but went to all my brother's baseball practices. My dad finally said, "You're trying softball for one year," and I never went back to tennis (tennis is fun, but softball has my heart)! Since then I have played softball at the recreational, travel, and school levels.
I've been a Girl Scout since I was 5 and plan on earning my Gold Award, the highest achievement in girl scouting, while in high school! I have a great time with my troop and we enjoy volunteering at the local animal shelter.
I am interested in Physical Therapy and want to help kids when they have injuries. I broke my pitching hand playing softball and was very happy with all the professionals who helped me through the process. I want to be able to give back and do the same.
Fun Fact: One of my brothers is a catcher. He was catching me one day and my drop ball hit is toe. He refused to catch me anymore! He says catching my pitches is just different from baseball. My other brother could tell you which tournament park has the best concession stand!
