Personal Statement

My collegiate goals and aspirations are to play sports at the collegiate level while earning a degree in sports medicine. I am a strong candidate to play on a collegiate level because I am a dedicated, well-rounded individual who demonstrates determination, leadership, and respect for others. These qualities were instilled in me by my parents, who have been my biggest supporters and role models. They have always emphasized the importance of hard work, perseverance, and compassion, and their unwavering support has shaped the person I am today.

My character was further developed at a young age while caring for my older sister, who has Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum, is developmentally delayed, and is also autistic. This experience fostered a deep sense of responsibility and leadership, qualities that set me apart and defined my character.

In athletics, I am a multisport athlete at Rock Hill High School, excelling in both football and basketball. I am grateful to have started on varsity as a freshman in both sports, showcasing my commitment, work ethic, and competitive drive. I thrive under pressure and believe my athletic versatility makes me an asset to any team.

Academically, I am bilingual, fluent in Spanish, which enhances my communication skills and cultural awareness. I began taking high school classes in 7th grade, and though I initially struggled with maturity, I quickly realized the importance of academics in achieving my goal of playing sports at the collegiate level. Since then, I have worked hard to improve my GPA, and I am committed to continuing my academic growth.

Overall, my combination of leadership, athletic ability, and academic focus makes me a unique and valuable recruit. I am eager to contribute to a team and continue developing both on and off the field.
