Personal Statement

My name is Ethan Shipman. I started playing football in 2nd grade and fell in love with the sport. I love the feeling you get on the field under the lights in front of a stadium full of people. I love being in the trenches with my O-line protecting our teammates. I have played OL and DL my entire football career. I was the starting center and nose guard throughout my middle school career. My freshman year in high school I was the starting varsity center. As a sophomore I was the starting RT and occasionally RG on varsity. To stay in shape during the off season and to help better my football skills I participate in the sport of wrestling. I am the varsity starter for the wrestling team at 220lb weight class. I have been the varsity starter for the wrestling team my freshman and sophomore seasons and was a state qualifier my sophomore season. I always look forward to putting in work to better my skills on the OL and bettering myself in the weight room.
