Personal Statement

My name is Keaton Johnson, and I’m a student-athlete at New Town High School. My collegiate goals are to play Division I football and excel in whatever major I decide to pursue. I believe I’m a strong candidate for any program because of my work ethic and drive to stay active and engaged. I’m confident in myself and hold myself to a high standard, both on and off the field.

I lead by example, lift up my teammates, and always strive to encourage my coaches and peers. What sets me apart is my ability to stay focused under pressure. No matter how tough or stressful a situation gets, I remain calm, composed, and in control.

I don’t let my ego get in the way, and I treat everyone with respect—the same way I’d want to be treated. Academics haven’t always come easy for me. Growing up, I struggled with ADHD, and sometimes I still do. But I’ve learned how to manage it without medication, and that’s something I’m truly proud of. It’s taught me discipline, focus, and resilience—qualities that I carry with me in all areas of life.
