Personal Statement

My name is Dylan Reyes I'm currently a Junior at Passaic High School class of 2026. I am humble to share my collegiate goals and aspirations with you and explain why I believe I would be a valuable addition to your team. I believe that for many coaches a there are many different qualities, preferences and requirements for a good candidate. I believe that a combination of character, determination and athletic abilities, sets me apart from other recruits.

First and foremost, my collegiate goal is to commit to a strong and successful team. I am highly motivated to work hard both individually and as a team to help the team reach its fullest potential.  I aim to develop my skills and improve, pushing myself to be the best I can be for the benefit of the team's performance. I will commit to maintain a positive and supportive team player, being a reliable teammate both on and off the field.

I take pride in myself on being disciplined, coachable, and a team player. I understand the importance of listening to and learning from coaches, as they have an amazing amount of knowledge and experience to share. I am open to feedback and hoping to implement it to better my performance as a defensive back. 

Academically, I am very committed to be outstanding in my classes while balancing the demands of being a student-athlete. I understand the importance of time management, organization, and prioritization in order to succeed both on the field and in the classroom. 

Finally I believe that my hard work and dedication will make me a strong candidate as a defensive back.  I am confident that my abilities as a defensive back, coupled with my commitment to teamwork and personal growth, will be valuable assets to your program.
