Personal Statement
I have been playing football since I was 5 years old. In that time, I have learned multiple positions on the Oline, the D Line and wherever the team needed me to play. The only big thing that I had to overcome was my mind. I didn’t want to put in the effort to be better. I would always just go with the flow of things and I have overcome that and I’ve only gotten better.
During my participation as a four-sport athlete, in football and wrestling Is where I learned to push myself past what I thought my limitations were the most. I also learned what it’s like to be a part of a brotherhood, where everyone worked for one common goal. Track and Jiu Jitsu helped me to focus on technique and slowing down my mind when doing difficult things.
In my community I have helped a couple homeless shelters with my church, I raised money to give to hurricane victims for one of my birthdays and another birthday, I gave my birthday money to lady my mom saw on Facebook that needed diapers for her new born baby.
I want to pursue a football career because I want to help others like my best friend who can’t go to college because he has to work to help feed his little brother and his sister. And I really love to play the game.
