Personal Statement

     As a coach, I bet you read a ton of personal statements about players every day, all of them saying that they are different from others. Well, you haven’t met me. If there is one word to describe me, it is that I am very determined. Ever since I was in 4th grade I have been playing football. I was always a big soccer kid, since my parents were European and soccer was most popular where they were raised. But one year I decided to play flag football. Ever since that first day I stepped foot on a football field I knew I was gonna fall in love with this sport. I really got hooked on how you push yourself and other teammates to become better. I have learned that teamwork and the drive to win as a family helps the team perform better. What makes me a good candidate for the team is that I pump everybody up to the point where we are screaming with joy. I’m different from other recruits because I'm very nice to all players and at the same time very physical in games. A little background about me in the classroom is ever since the 6th grade I have been getting straight A’s which in conclusion lead me to have my 4.0 GPA. When I was in middle school I also was in the National Junior Honors Society which is a group of individuals who have very high grades. I work to balance out my work for school and my work on the field as a football player. In my youth I have also participated in many sports which include soccer, wrestling, and cross country. To wrap things up, I believe that me being on your team would create a better chance at success on and off the field for your school.
