Personal Statement

Playing baseball has always been a big part of my life.  The game has taught me many life lessons along the way.  The game has taught me the sacrifice it takes to realize dreams.  The game has showed me the rewards of hard work.  I pride myself on my defense and my power hitting ability.  I believe I handle the pitches well, frame very good, work well with all pitchers, and good at pickoffs.

This past summer, our Canes team (24-15-1) played in Perfect Game, Cincy Flames, and Bullpen hosted events. I caught 172.1 innings with 1 error (team ERA of 3.45).  As a result, I only pitched 9.1 innings, 3 hits, 4 ER, 9 k's.  My  stat line was .298/.482/.440.  For the final 23 games it was .360/.536/.580 with 5 doubles and 2 HRs.

My key verified metrics from this summer are 85 mph fastball, 82 mph catcher velo, 99 mpg exit velo (in game), and 1.9 pop time.

As I continue to grow in the game, hopefully at the collegiate level, I plan to further invest in the game and myself.  I hope to bring that same dedication with me to contribute to the team around me.
