Summer 2023
Jul 30, 2023 - Aug 20, 2023
Stanford, Headfirst, Brown, PG Atlanta, Duke
I did numerous camps/showcases in the US this summer. In these camps, my combined pitching was: 18.1 IP 14 H 7 R 5 ER 10 BB 19 SO (ERA 2.45, WHIP 1.31, >1 SO/IP). This was the best level of players that I have played against - I feel I did well, improved with every camp, and all the coaches agreed that I have strong potential to develop further.
2023
Mar 01, 2023 - Jun 30, 2023
Barcelona, Prague, London
For the London Archers, which is a travel team for the best players in the UK (most of the team are Americans and Japanese): In the 18U international tournament in Barcelona in March, I batted 7 for 17 with 4 RBI; I gave up 3 ER in 3 innings against the French team, which won every game in the tournament and had some men’s senior squad players. In the 16U Pony European tournament in Prague in April, against the Dutch in the QF, I had a complete game win (we won 5-4) 5 IP 3H 4R 2ER 2BB 8SO. Batting in the tournament I was 3 for 12 with 2 RBI and 6 walks. In the 16U London tournament in June (this was an international tournament to coincide with the MLB Europe weekend) I batted 7 for 11 with 4 RBI. I had a HR and 2 triples, and 4 SB. I pitched 3.1 innings with 1 ER and 4 SO. For the London Metros, which is an adult team, I am 3-2 W-L in 18.1 IP, with an ERA of 5.73. I am hitting .300 with an OBP of .523 and OPS of .923. I have 12 SB.
European 18U championship
Jul 04, 2022 - Aug 20, 2022
Sweden (qualifiers) and Czech republic (finals), Stockholm, Hluboka and Brno, INTERNATIONAL
Represented Great Britain at 18U level at age 16
Catalunya spring 2022
Mar 10, 2022 - Mar 13, 2022
Spain, Barcelona, INTERNATIONAL
This was an 18U tournament, although I am still 15. It featured teams from across Europe, including Spain, Italy, Czech and Netherlands. I batted .250, including a double, with 2 walks and 2 RBI. My biggest achievement in the tournament was pitching 3 2/3 innings of no-hit ball vs Nettuno, with 4 strikeouts and only 1 run which was unearned.
Nettuno annual tournament
Oct 29, 2021 - Oct 31, 2021
Nettuno, Italy, Nettuno, INTERNATIONAL
This is an annual tournament held in Nettuno, south of Rome, which is a hotbed of baseball in Italy. I was aged 15 and played for the London Archers in both the 15U and 18U tournaments. In the 15U tournament, I led the team in both batting (.417) and RBI (7), with 2 walks and 2 steals, and including an RBI triple in a clutch situation that tied the game against Nettuno in the final inning. Overall, the team placed third.
Catalunya fall 2021
Oct 14, 2021 - Oct 17, 2021
Spain, Barcelona, INTERNATIONAL
In this tournament we faced teams from Italy, the Netherlands, Czech and Panama (6 games total). Overall the team placed 4th. I led the team in both batting (.444) and RBI (6), with 2 walks and 4 steals.
Catalunya fall 2019
Oct 23, 2019 - Oct 26, 2019
Spain, Barcelona, INTERNATIONAL
We played against teams from all over Europe, including Spain, Italy, Czech and the Netherlands, and placed third overall. I hit .600 and received the award for the tournament's best hitter.
Pony 14U World Series
Aug 13, 2019 - Aug 17, 2019
USA, Washington, PA
As I mentioned earlier, it was a great achievement to qualify for this tournament, and it was always going to be tough, and I was proud to be a part of it, as considerably the youngest player in the squad. We lost both games in a double elimination tournament. I felt I acquitted myself very well, with 2 walks in 3 plate appearances.
Pony European Championship
Apr 17, 2019 - Apr 20, 2019
Czech Republic, Prague, INTERNATIONAL
I was selected to represent the London Archers in this tournament, as by far the youngest player on the team. The team became the first British team to win a European tournament at any level, going 6-0. Due to my age and experience, I had more limited playing time but still contributed with both the bat and ball, and was extremely proud to have been a part of this.
European Little League
Jul 16, 2018 - Jul 20, 2019
Poland, Kutno, INTERNATIONAL
This was the first time my club team had qualified for this event. In the UK final, I was the starting and winning pitcher, going 4 2/3 innings, was 3 for 3 in batting, and made a running catch in CF to seal a 4-3 win for the final out with 2 runners on base. In Kutno, where the team lost both games in a double elimination format (including blowing a big lead in the first game), I had several hits, including an over-the-fence home run, and gave up 1 run in 3 innings pitched against France.
European national tournament 2018 (12U)
Jun 30, 2018 - Jul 08, 2018
Hungary, Budapest, INTERNATIONAL
This was my first time representing the Great Britain national team (unfortunately there have been no further tournaments until later this year, due to COVID). Although the team only placed 11th, I batted .500. Officially I conceded 5 ER in 5 innings vs Czech and Hungary, but it would have been less if some makeable plays had been made.

Personal Statement

I have spent a month in the US this summer, attending camps at IMG, Stanford, Headfirst, Brown, PG Atlanta, and Duke. I pitched to a 2.45 ERA with 19K in 18.1IP. I added 3mph to my fastball, have increasingly developed my control within the strike zone, and generally feel that I have made real improvements in this short space of time.

I believe that I am playing baseball at a level that is very competitive with US-based prospective players, well within DIII level, and that with the right program, opportunity and coaching I can elevate my game considerably further, compared to the more limited opportunities and infrastructure that are available to me in the UK.

At 6' 4", many coaches tell me I am highly projectable.

At the same time, a high level academic program is of very high importance to me for my future career potential, as well as to be in an environment where I can have some great life learning experiences.

Getting to a level where I can represent Great Britain all the way through to the men’s national team, including hopefully to play in the WBC at some future point, is also a high ambition for me. Playing ay US college level is a big criterion that is being applied in team selection these days.

I have been an outstanding player in the UK system throughout the time I first started playing T-ball at age 5. I am playing in the UK National Baseball League from age 15, and I represent the Great Britain team at 18U level (I also played at 12U and 15U), as well as playing on UK travel teams in European tournaments.

I am a starting pitcher for my club team in the National Baseball League, and already have an outstanding curveball and strong slider. My fastball is in the 80s. I also have very strong skills in the infield, especially at 3B, and regularly hit above .400 in European tournaments in my age group.

My goal in playing baseball at university in the US is to hone and develop my skills to further my ambition of becoming the first UK-born player to play professionally in the US, as well as finding somewhere that I can receive an outstanding education, and develop myself as a person with wide experience of different cultures and perspectives.

My agility, reflexes and size are all significant assets athletically. I am an extremely supportive teammate, also with a significant desire to outperform and to win. I am seeking a university which will enable me to continue at a high level in academics and offer me a broad set of opportunities for a future career.

One of my coaches is Drew Spencer, who is the GB WBC head coach, and he would be happy to talk to you also if you would like to hear more about me from him.

I also coach younger kids to play baseball most weekends.
