College Football Prospects
Personal Statement
Dear Coach,
I am an accomplished student athlete, and strive to be exceptional in and out of the classroom.
My goal is to play college football at the highest level I am capable of. I simply love the game of football. I love the strategic thinking, the brotherhood, and the experience of working as a team towards the common goals of improvement and success, and the opportunities to grow as a leader.
I realize I am a bit of an unknown, but I have always been an athlete. I grew up playing hockey, baseball and football, wrestled in high school, and am currently on the track team. My high school has 4000 students. There was no football my sophomore year due to COVID , and as a junior I unfortunately suffered a stress fracture that compromised the beginning of my season. None-the-less I saw some varsity action, lettered, but mostly got time as the starting safety on JV.
But it lit a fire. I am determined to be an elite safety my senior year. Over that last 8 months I have worked hard to become the prototypic college safety. I put on 25 lbs of muscle through diligence to my diet and exercise. I’m blessed to have the physical characteristics and athleticism for the position and work consistently to push my best to a higher level. I have participated in safety skill training at the TNT football academy 3-4 times a week since the season ended. I am constantly learning and working to improve my football IQ.
My ideal football program would value my skillset, potential and work ethic and help me to build on my leadership abilities. I want a coaching staff that truly emphasizes excellence on the field and in the classroom, and understands how important team building and culture are for building success.
While I realize the college experience may help me identify other interests, I am drawn to physical therapy as a career as it would allow me to combine my experience working with individuals with special needs and my interests in science and exercise.
