Personal Statement

I am a driven athlete with huge goals on and off the track. I will outwork my competition and do what it takes to win under any circumstances understanding that it is as much mental as it is physical. In a summer track season with TAAF, I have transformed into a highly coachable athlete and have made an amazing experience running and building companionship with my teammates/ friends.  I see the track as home and my teammates as family. Every time I step onto the track I'm reminded how truly blessed I am to be able to run and compete alongside my family.  A quote from Carl Lewis who I look up to see as a mentor that best describes my mentality-There are no secrets to success.
