Personal Statement

As an African American who is dedicated to the ideals that I create for myself, I am highly interested in not only athletics such as football but an understanding of architecture and being one as I grow up. I want my name Seneca Greenwood to be important whether it is for my family or friends or mentors.While 2022- 2023 was my first year playing football, I am very invested in taking it to the collegiate level. I have realized that this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I am ready for any obstacles that arrive. Whether it’s learning the plays or getting physically fit, I always try to improve my best any chance I get. Everyone who knows me and has taught me skills and tactics has said I am very coachable and extremely hard-working. I believe that I can be a role model for others who are also dedicated to football and help them learn. I am one of the most determined recruits you will ever see.The same goes in the classroom. I am interested in architecture and want to explore more into the topic. I have maintained a high GPA average over the years and was recently nominated for Vice President of my high school for 9th grade in 2023. I continue to represent my school properly by partaking in community service activities such as Abilis Entertainment where me and other students play basketball with people that are diagnosed with mental health issues. I wish to be a student who excels in the field and the classroom while trying to improve the community in which I reside. Most of all, I want to make my family, mentors, and coaches proud of my successes and be a role model for the upcoming generations.
