Personal Statement

My name is Brody Woods. I am passionate about continuing my basketball journey at the collegiate level, where I aim to contribute to a competitive team while further developing my skills. My goal is to excel not only as a player but also as a student-athlete, balancing my academic and athletic responsibilities to succeed both on and off the court. What sets me apart as a candidate is my combination of athletic ability, work ethic, and commitment to excellence. As a guard, I bring a quick release, high basketball IQ, and the ability to make plays under pressure. Whether it’s driving to the basket, setting up teammates, or playing tough defense, I consistently focus on team success. I also bring leadership and discipline, both on the court and in the classroom, where I’ve maintained a 96% average since first grade and am a proud member of the National Junior Honor Society.

My experiences with my high school and AAU teams have shaped me into a resilient and coachable player, and my drive to improve daily sets me apart from others. I’m eager to contribute to a collegiate program where I can continue to grow both as an athlete and as an individual.
