Personal Statement

I’m passionate about the game of football and everything it teaches me on and off the field. When I'm not getting better on the field or working to excel in the classroom, you can find me playing guitar, video games (racing ones are my favorite), or reading about stock trading information to understand more about the market and how it relates to what happens in the world every day. 

I aspire to compete in the game of football at the highest level. I bring a relentless work ethic to both my athletic and academic pursuits. While my transcript may not be perfect, it reflects consistent effort and growth. I had an academic setback in the first semester of my Junior year, taking on an heavy courseload while also navigating homelife and football. But I was determined to succeed despite the slow start and I applied the the same discipline I bring to the field, to the classroom. I actively seek out challenges and never settle for mediocrity. I love competition and I always strive to outwork the man next to me in an effort to make us both better.

A quote I came up with that I live by everyday is, "A mistake isn’t a mistake if you’re committed to correcting it. Failure doesn’t define you, growth does. Your effort determines your outcome, and real growth comes from pushing past the false limits that try to creep in."

I’m excited for the opportunity to continue growing as a student-athlete and as a person at the next level. I look forward to being a vocal and charismatic leader at the right school for me.
