Personal Statement
My name is Mitchell Jones and one my main goals in life is to earn a scholarship to play football at the college level. Along with that goal, I would like to lift up other people around me such as my teammates and my friends and family. I would be a great candidate to be on your team because when it comes down to the details such as working hard in the weightroom, in the classroom, and on the field, I care like crazy and love the process and preparation that comes with it. I believe that I am also a player of high character and overall stoicism. I am a multi-sport athlete; I play on the golf team in the offseason and that in turn has made me better mentally than any other player on the field. Being better mentally helps me pick up on things faster, react quicker, and get the job at hand done efficiently and explosively. Along with that, I am very well versed on what it takes to be a student-athlete as well. I boasted a 4.0 gpa during a very successful sophomore season while also recieving an opportunity to go to a leadership camp at the end of my sophomore year that only 2 people including myself get to go on out of all AP and Honors sophomores in my class. It is called "HOBY" and I will use what I will learn there to lead my team to a CIF title next season. I am writing this as a sophomore and will keep updating as I go through my highschool career. Thank you for reading!
