Personal Statement

I've loved watching the game and playing football since i can remember. My father coached my two older brothers in youth football and later me as well. I was part of the loaded caravan to late practices during the week and early morning games. Wondering the fields until it was my time to play. I started tackle football when i was 5 years old, playing with the six and seven year olds because there wasn't enough five years olds to have their own division. So I've been playing up against bigger kids since my start. I play physical as if I was bigger then most players on the field with me. My freshmen year I won the "Offensive Player of the year" for my C-Team. Now that I am on the Varsity roster, I strive to make my work in the gym, in school, and on the field speak to the value I will bring to my team in the he upcoming season. When high school is over, I hope to use my college time as an young adult as an growth period shaping me to the man I will become. My goal is to explore an engineering degree that will help me lean to the type of engineering major I will base my career on. On the field, I plan to be a dynamic player and positive influence on the team. As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my college football career, I will strive to be an asset to the team where I can help us and lead us to victory. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches and the school I attend.
