Personal Statement
Coach
I have been playing tackle football since I was seven years old. I played elite level club lacrosse until my freshmen year of High school. I am the third child of four. My oldest sister was a four year starting soccer player at division one UMass Lowell. My other two sisters have competed at high levels in club soccer, lacrosse and volleyball. Both my parents were two sport athletes at Springfield College in MA. My dad was a wishbone fullback and a defender on the lacrosse team. My mom played soccer and was an All-American lacrosse player. Her lacrosse team won the division 2 National Championship in 1992. My dad often jokes that I was literally breed to play college football.
I love everything about being a football player. I love getting after it in the weight room. I love the off season speed and agility work and getting together with teammates to do passing drills to prepare for the next season. I love looking across the line of scrimmage at an opponent who has no idea how bad I am about to do him. I love the time in the locker room with my brothers. I love the emotional high that eases the physical pain my body may feel after a hard fought win. I love the adoration I receive from teachers, classmates, and random people in the community for being an impact player on our team. I am driven by the opportunity to continue my football journey on a bigger stage at a college where people really care about football.
Regarding college, I want to make a 40 year decision. I would like to attend a school with high academic standards, but high expectations of its football team. I believe I want to study something business related but I also really enjoy history.
