Personal Statement

By way of introduction, my name is Josiah Michael Crawford and I am a student-athlete at Caravel Academy in Bear, Delaware.  Ever since I was a little kid I have dreamed of playing college football.  I remember watching games with my dad and picturing myself on the field making plays.  As time passed those dreams developed into ambitions and I began to work passionately to achieve my goals.  I thrive in a strong competitive environment that relies on teamwork. Football provides me a sense of connection to others who are both different and the same as me, and I am able to have fun while doing so. 

With that said, what has already become apparent to me is the value of fostering relationships that will last a lifetime.  My longer term goal is to acquire an elite education while playing the sport I love at a high level and I am ready and willing to put in the work to make my dream a reality.  Thank you for your time and consideration.
