Personal Statement
My name is Brannon Bass and I'm a senior at Southfield High. I've been playing football since the 10th grade. I feel as though I'm a good man to man or press man corner. I like to get up in the WR's face and challenge them. As a junior, I started seven games for the Blue Jays. I struggled at times, but as the year progressed I quickly became the team's top corner. I weighed 150 as a junior, and all my coaches told me that only way I will get looked out by football scouts is if I get to a minimum of 160. I garnered attention form the University of Buffalo to Williams College.
Through my work ethic, competitiveness, and leadership as a junior, I was announced as one of 5 captains on our team. Before the season started, I was an OAA Player To Watch. I ended the year winning the Hank Moulder Award, Captains Award, and All League recognition for my accomplishments. I raised my weight to 161 and I ran a 4.5 in the 40.
While I head off to college, all I expect from my coaches is to give me an honest opinion of where I'm at as a corner. My leadership is all the way there however, next season will be my 4th year ever playing football. and 3rd playing cornerback. I just want coaches to know that I will listen attentively, and with their help, I know I can be their top corner at their college. Thank you.
