Personal Statement

My name is Joe Wolljung and I am enrolled at Charlotte Catholic Highschool where I play football. Personally, academics always come first and I try my hardest in them, but when it is time to play football, I will work my hardest in that also. I am 6 foot 3 inches and 260 pounds, but I am trying to get up to 275 pounds mainly through muscle mass by the time the season starts. At a recent NUC combine, I ran a 5.35 40, a 4.85 shuttle, and bench pressed 185 six times, all personal best. I am aware that my strenght is not the best, but in the past couple months, my bench press has increased by 50 pounds and is still going up. I can offer any team an uncomparable work ethic, where I will try my hardest to fix anything wrong with my game and improve it in order to help my team. I would like to be able to play football for a school that offers a good education, and a business major, but other than that, I have no preference on the size or location of the school. I am also open to military academies and Christian schools. My goals for college football are to be able to play for a school where I can recieve a good education and be able to help out that college on the football field. I am devoted to this recruiting process because it will help me go to a college where I can recieve an education and prepare me for my future and hopefully help pay for it too.
