Personal Statement
My name is Kaili Kennedy. I am 17 year old Senior at Western Hills High School in Fort Worth, Texas. I am caring, ambitious, and I do what I believe is right. I love playing volleyball and I aspire to continue playing throughout college. Playing volleyball has made me more confident, has kept me focused, and all around amazes me. When I step on the court, I forget about everything in my life and I get to just play my heart out. Volleyball gives me a feeling nothing else can, and it's not just the adrenaline rush. Having a team is more than just playing, it gives you a sense of love and trust, which is another reason I love volleyball. I try my hardest to talk to and encourage my teamates when i'm on the court. My Freshman and my Sophomore year I was team captain. I always try to give 100 percent during practice and in games. It doesn't matter what division I play in, and even though I am a Christian, I don't need to go to a Christian college. I would like to attend a college with a good nursing program because I want to become a RN. I work hard, and get A's and B's while taking Honors and AP classes. I would like to go to college in Texas since it is where my family is, but I would definitely consider a school outside of Texas if it meant I got to play the sport I love. I will need financial aid but I am going to file for FAFSA and I will apply for scholarships. I want to play in college for 4 years if possible. I like to attempt to make an impact on my teams, because I like to stay positive and believe anyone can do anything. I truly care about playing volleyball, and I hope to continue through college.
