Personal Statement

After graduating high school, my plan for college is to be a collegiate athlete while majoring in entrepreneurial studies and minoring (or double majoring) in fashion design. In hopes to do so, the only way I can go to the college of my choice is if I receive a scholarship, academic and/or athletic. My entire goal is to receive a full-ride scholarship that will truly help, financially.

The thing that makes me a good candidate for your team is my leadership skills. I have been putting my skills into practice as I am currently in the pre-season for my track team. As a senior, I decided to step up and take leadership for my teammates. I have been named captain for my track team. I am a leader in which I myself show discipline and also make each practice enjoyable. As an athlete myself, I always push myself every day in practice as I know it would pay off in this upcoming season.

The thing that sets me apart is the different traits and skills I have to offer. My character on and off the field portrays as being respectful towards my peers, very engaging, friendly, and humble. As an athlete, you will never see my slack off in practice. I always like to set an example for my teammates as someone who strives for success. I am a very skilled athlete as I have also done other sports such as gymnastics, basketball, and volleyball.  In regards to academics, I have been having a great year relating to my grades. I made the scholar honor roll for 1st semester, ending it with a 4.17 GPA. Not only that but I am very involved in my extracurricular activities. I am involved in service-based clubs that include Key Club, Kenya Project Club, Spanish Honor Society, and the Just One Project Club (which I am the president of). I also lead the charity of the month for November which I received school-wide support and collected over 1,200 non-perishable foods for the Just One Project ( a local nonprofit organization).  I have always been super involved in my community by volunteering. As a current titleholder of Miss Nevada Teen USA, I make sure that my academics, volunteering, and being a role model are my top priorities as a titleholder!
