Personal Statement
I am a junior from Temecula, California, I have 6 years of Travel Ball experience in Southern California. I have been playing softball since the age of four. I have been a Varsity starter at Chaparral High, a division 1 school, since my freshman year in High School. I was the only freshman to make the varsity team my freshman year. I have played with and against many of the best athletes in Southern California and in Riverside County. I offer speed and accuracy as a centerfielder along with the ability to adapt and be versatile on the field, prior to playing the Outfield, I played Middle infield. I feel there are no limits to what I can offer athletically, I am a coachable player who likes to push herself to the limits. My academic efforts are consistant and I will contiue to be a scholar athlete each year. I love to be challenged on and off the field and I am eager to find a college that will help me pursure my dreams of playing College Softball while continuing my education in the field of Kinesiology or Enviromental Studies. Ideally, I would love to be at University with a larger student body than my HS and interesting surroundings. I am very open to all schools, Im confident that once I step on a campus either Small or Large, I will know where I belong. It would be nice to remain on the west coast, However I am totally open to the possiblilty of seeking schools across the United States. I really want to experience something different for the next 4 years of my life. I love to travel and I have traveled alone multiple times with my softball teams. I am searching for a school that will offer me a great education and the opportunity to play softball for a quality program. I plan to be an impact player and person of character for your University and Softball program! Sincerely, Kristie Johnson Class of 2012
