Personal Statement

I am a 5'9" center fielder/pitcher from Colgate, Wisconsin. I have started on the Germantown High School varsity team for two years and was chosen as First Team All-Conference Outfielder in the 2009 North Shore Conference. Recently, I have been selected to play on the WFSCA All Star Team as well. I am interested in playing softball at a university that also offers a strong academic program. Having the ability to play at a high level of competition and getting the maximum amount of playing time on a team is important to me. I am a versatile player and have learned several positions in an effort to assist my team in any way I can. My skills and abilities have been established over ten years of experience, playing competitively on club teams and throughout four years of high school. Over the course of my softball career, I have been extremely dedicated to my teammates as well as the sport. In addition, I have consistently displayed leadership skills which have culminated in my position as this year's team captain. Being a senior, I realize that I am starting this process quite late into my career but I am very serious about playing softball in college. With that in mind, I am open to traveling outside of Wisconsin to take advantage of any and every opportunity I am offered.
