Personal Statement

My name is Carlie Barnett and I am a 5'2" 105 lb center back. As a freshman, I started on varsity as center back and helped my team through the transition to our new section. It was a great experience playing with older players and learning from them and playing high-level competition. As a sophomore, I continued to start as center back and led my team to the WPIAL playoffs where we won against a high seeded team and made it to second round of playoffs. During that season, I had the second most amount of minutes played on the team. As a junior, I led my team to win Section Champions and finished with a record of 12-1. I view myself as a hard worker who acts as a leader on and off the field while trying to better the players around me as well. Along with playing high school and club soccer, I earn straight A's and maintain a high GPA while taking honors and AP classes and being involved in clubs and extracurriculars.
