Personal Statement

My name is Trip McSorley and I am a senior at The Asheville School (2023). I've played high caliber club soccer my entire life and I have serious interest in playing at the next level. I'm taking action to make this dream a reality. I played club soccer this summer for the U23 West Chester United team which is very beneficial as I am the only high schooler on the team and the rest are all D2/D3 players. We trained about 3 times a week and usually one of those sessions is combined with the NPSL/USL2 team which is all D1 players and a lot of people trying to go pro. This high caliber training is really helping me prepare for collegiate soccer. This really makes me confident that I'm ready to play at the collegiate level now and I have a full year to develop more as a player and I'm expecting a lot of improvement. I also trained 3 times a week with a personal trainer named Jesse Zafiratos who has coached D3 soccer at Hood College, Rosemont, and Penn State Brandywine. He is really helping my technical game improve a lot and is a great resource for recruiting help.
