Personal Statement

I have loved the sport of football since I was too young to play.  I would watch my older siblings and couldn't wait for my turn.   As the years passed, I saw them gain recognition and eventually my oldest brother received a full ride at the University of Colorado Boulder to play PAC 12 ball.   I knew early on that I wanted to meet or surpass the goals they set, and when I watched my brother play a sport he loved on National Television I knew I wanted the same!   To be able to use my love of sports to help gain a college degree is my number one goal.  I am not afraid to work hard on or off the field and after watching my brother go through the process of recruiting, I understand that grades play a large factor.   Currently, I am dual enrolled at a local college for calculous.   I have a 3.9 in-weighted and 4.3 weighted GPA and I am part of Student Council and the Sport Medicine Program at my school.  I am really looking forward to learning more about Sport Medicine this year to see if it is something I would like to pursue in college.   For now, I will continue to work hard on the field, in the weight room and most importantly, in the class, to ensure that I am ready for the next stage.
