Personal Statement

I believe that playing competitive basketball teaches valuable life lessons. It teaches you how to overcome adversity through hard work and diligence. Being a student athlete, I find that the most important aspect is giving my best effort. When it comes to basketball, leaving everything I have on the court is the most important part of my game. Whether diving for loose balls or being the toughest player on the court, ALWAYS giving my best effort is what's most important, winning or losing the game. Throughout my career as a student athlete I have had setbacks, hardships, and moments where I faced adversity that I thought I could never overcome. How I handle these moments are what make me stand out as a student and a player. I am very hardworking and hungry, as well as humble and patient. This process has taught me to trust myself, my teammates, and my coaches, and wherever I end up playing, I will ALWAYS give my all.
