Personal Statement
Hi I'm Nautica Rivera soon to be a 2017 graduate. I've been playing the sport of softball since I was 4 years old and have loved it ever since. I believe every athlete has goals for there season and always dream of becoming something big. As an athlete I always have small goals to fix my simple mechanics but then continue to push myself based off those. Being that we are all STUDENT ATHLETES, I have major academics goals as well. I'm looking to go in the mathematics fields due to the small number of women in it now. Math has always been my favorite subject since I have been a little girl. Softball is a sport of failure! That being said I believe it's important to not only push yourself, but to continue to pick up and push your teammates to their fullest. If you have their back they should have yours as well. I'm know for being a loud player on the field and in the dugout. I have continued to push myself to play this sport I love due to someone telling I wouldn't be able to play anymore. There are many reason why I want to play softball in college like: to give back to my mom for all the money she has put into me playing, to show people that said I couldn't play that I am a SRONG girl that can fight though anything, and lastly to show how much love I have for the game. Thank you for taking the time to read what I have wrote.
