Personal Statement

At 15 years old I was slated to be the starting Varsity QB my Sophomore year of High School. In a preseason game my left humerus was broken and I was out for the season. The team went on to finished the season 2-7 for it's second consecutive year. My Junior year I returned under center as the starting QB. I lead the team to the first playoff berth in three years and finished the season with a 7-2 record. My Senior year (with only one experienced offensive lineman returning) we lead the division as one of the top two teams for total points scored in this season. Again, taking the team to it's second consecutive playoff. My strengths lies in the pocket presence, maintaining composure and throwing from pocket, I also throw well on the run and I am fast getting outside. I can throw to any receiver. My High School ran a double wing-T offense focusing on the run. When the passing game applied the score ran high and I only finished playing the 4th quarter 3 games this season due to the lopsided scores (we out-scored our opponents an average of 30 points a game). With limited passing attempts I was able to throw for 971 yards with 10 TD passes, completing 54% of the time (52/96). I am a dedicated team player focused on achieving team goals. I understand what it takes to work hard to grow in my position. My goal is to become bigger, stronger and faster so I may reach my full potential. I believe I bring a strong sense of leadership through example. If possible, I would like to be matched with a college in the Northeast area. However, I will certainly consider any other opportunities that offer the right academic and athletic environment.
