Personal Statement

My name is Jamie Hudson and I play for Coach Drew Sanders at Vandegrift High School (25-5A) in Austin, Texas. I am a High School senior, class of 2015. I am a dedicated football player as well as student. I am very coachable and strive to excel in all that I do. My life long goal is to study business and play football in College.

I have started on the varsity team since my sophomore year, taking over at Quarterback at the beginning of district play. Previously, I played QB, safety, wide receiver, kicker and special teams, virtually playing every snap. I play every snap at each position with intensity and passion. I am 6’1’, 210 lbs and I currently have a GPA of 3.8 and scored 1860 (total) and 1240 (composite) on the SAT.

During my time at Vandegrift, I have gone 24-7 as the starting quarterback, going 9-3 my junior year and making the Area Finals, and 12-2 this year and playing for 5A State semifinals. Since my freshman year, I have received many awards such as the Freshman Offensive MVP, First Team All-District 25-4A, and 2x First Team Academic All-District, as well as playing varsity Basketball the past 2 years. I was also just voted a finalist for the Mr Texas top 10 players in the State by Dave Campbell's Texasfootball.com.
