Personal Statement

My name is Andrew Robinson and I'm a 6'0'' Long Snapper from Troy Athens High School in Troy, Michigan. I am a 4.5 star out of 5 star rated Long Snapper by long time Long Snapping coach Chris Rubio. I will graduate in the spring of 2014, and after I graduate I wish to compete collegiately. As a senior I have played football for 9 years (3 at Athens and 6 with my youth travel league team.).

Currently I am going into my senior year and I am looking to play Offensive Line and long snap on the varsity team for the second straight year. I took on the role of being Center and Long Snapper my freshman year. It was my first time playing both of these positions and I am glad to say they are my true strengths. I am always in the weight room, getting to practice early and staying late to learn as much as I can from my coaches and older teammates. Football to me is more than just athletic competition, it's a chance to be a leader, show my personality, and show my hard work and dedication, but most importantly to be a student of the game. My high school has about 1,700 kids, so I am open to any size or division college.

I was born in Michigan and have traveled to many states for football camps and vacations so location for my collegiate career is broad. My goal is to play as much as I can, including as a freshman. I'm interested in Sports Medicine as an area of study. I am looking for a school that can provide me with the strong undergraduate education needed to fulfill my goal.
