Gerken (5-11, 180) was All-South Coast League second team this past spring as a sophomore. Tritons coach Jaime Ortiz said Gerken is a playmaker with a high football IQ. “He’s our field general out there on defense,” Ortiz said.

Personal Statement
I am a 2023 student athlete that is striving to play football at the next level. Last season, as a sophomore, I was the starting varsity safety and was awarded second team all-league honors. I excel in the classroom where I work hard to maintain a 4.6 GPA. My leadership skills allow me to bring my team closer together so we can perform at the highest level. I put full effort into everything I do on and off of the field as I work towards my goal of becoming a college football player.
