Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Andrew Burmeister. I am a Senior in the Business & Entrepreneur Academy at Kempsville High School in Virginia Beach, VA. I am currently a Honor Roll student (enrolled in AP & Honors Courses) as well as I have created a startup business with my colleagues in school. Academics are a top priority and will continue to be a focus for me throughout my collegiate volleyball career. I aspire to continue my education with a degree in Business Administration.
I strive to continue playing volleyball on a collegiate level. I have played for the last 5 years both throughout High School & with Travel Club. The game has taught me to work hard, be disciplined, & be confident in my skills and abilities. As a player, I have learned to acknowledge my weaknesses and to be coachable so that I am always improving as a player. On the court, I am a very competitive player with a strong mental mindset who understands that winning requires cohesiveness with your teammates and that it is not based on talent alone. I continue to grow in my knowledge of volleyball both on and off the court through my experiences and my eagerness to continuously study all aspects of the game.
