Personal Statement
Baseball has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember. By playing little league, school and travel baseball I feel that my mental and physical attributes have been strengthened over the years. I decided to play the position of catcher and centerfield because I consider those positions to be the leaders of the team. I learned the lessons of being a quality leader, teamwork skills and how to work myself to make the most of situations. My passion for baseball is at a all time high and my goal is push myself to be on the field at all times no matter what position is being played to help the team achieve their goals and improve myself in all aspects of the game I love to play. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects not only the name on the back of my jersey for my family but the name of the school on the front that I will take pride in showing.
I plan to graduate high school and college with honors and continue my academic career and major in Sports Management. After my baseball career is over I would like to help other athletes with what I have learned throughout my baseball career and teach them life lessons along the way. I would like to coach baseball at any level and eventually be a Athletic Directory to guide the students in the correct path in their goal to become a student athlete. An accomplishment I have endured so far in my baseball career is I made the 9th grade high school team as a 8th grader and I will be the starting catcher. This shows that my coaches trust me to be a leader on the field to compete with older athletes. Last year I was awarded the MVP Blue Jackets 12/13U Elite MVP award for most outstanding player for the 2017 travel season. I would like to thank you for reading my statement and hope that you will see myself as a great academic student athlete.
