Personal Statement

My Name is Nathan Gates. I am very dedicated to the sport of Football. I am a hard worker who knows that it takes time and commitment to be a college athlete. I want to play division 1 football and go on to the NFL. I would like to follow in my mothers footsteps as she was a D1 basketball player from Chicago. I currently have a 3.3 GPA and I am taking all the classes required to be NCAA D1 eligible.  I believe in being a good teammate to everyone no matter their age or skill level. We are all on the team to reach a common goal. I believe it is important to thank all the people in your life that help you be the person you are on a daily basis. I love doing photography and videography. It is a strong passion I have and I plan on continuing that interest in college.
