Personal Statement

I'd love to be a part of your team!

As an athlete, I am completely dedicated to volleyball, and am always looking to improve my game. On and off the court, I am very vocal, and I strive to be the best person I can be.

I first touched a volleyball in third grade, playing through a "club" at the YMCA. At the time I didn't see the sport for anything more than the game, but my mom saw something special there. My first actual club experience was when I was in fifth grade, and I played up on the sixth grade team. I haven't been able to stop playing since.

When I was younger, I played many different sports, including: basketball, softball, cheer leading, competitive trampolining, tumbling, and track. None of them grabbed my heart quite like volleyball did, and I gave them all up to focus on volleyball. I have such a strong passion for volleyball, and I'm always doing whatever I can to become faster, stronger, and more intelligent in my game. I believe that whatever I set my mind and heart to, I can accomplish. I always strive to remember to remain positive no matter the score, because anyone can beat anyone, no matter the labels or preconceived notions about a team.

It's my goal to express my love for volleyball at the collegiate level,  and have lots of fun while doing it. Volleyball has taught me so many life lessons and has changed me so much as a person, and I am passionate about continuing to grow as a person, and share it with everyone.
