Personal Statement

I am currently a senior and a varsity starter on Braswell's first volleyball team.   I've played volleyball for 6 years and club for 3. I've developed a deep passion and love for the game, and I'm very competitive.   Also I've played select soccer and softball, and I've run track.   I love to challenge myself on the court as well as in the classroom.   I take Pre-AP, AP, and dual credit classes while also taking above a senior math class.   I'm also a member of Student Council and varsity choir.   I have a 3.7 unweighted GPA and a 4.1 weighted GPA.   On the court, I'm a leader and a captain on my club team.

I am a team player, and I never quit.  Coming to a brand new school, we were immediately challenged to compete in District 5-5A against very established teams.  We had a tough season overall, but what I learned throughout the season was to never give up and to keep pushing.  We got better every week as a team.  On Maxpreps, for the 2016 season, I lead the district in aces, and I'm among the top in digs as a DS.  I'm also posting videos on my HUDL site.

My goal is to continue my volleyball career while also working towards a nursing degree and furthering my education.
