Personal Statement

I fell in love with track and field at the age of 8 and over the years have competed in many track and field events: heptathlon, hurdles, 100m, 200m, high jump, pole vault and all throws. While my focus is now throws, you can see I am a versatile track and field athlete and willing to try anything!

I am self-driven in everything I do. I work hard on the field and in the classroom. Through exceptional time management, I am able to balance multiple varsity sports, higher-level coursework and fun with family and friends.

My teachers and coaches would describe me as driven, resilient, tough, adaptable, coachable, organized, positive and leader. My teammates would describe me as: driven, athletic, funny, helpful, fierce and encouraging. My competitors would describe me as approachable and supportive. 

As an individual, I know how to be confident, yet humble, and make positive experiences out of setbacks.

I would be honored to be able to continue to develop and compete at the collegiate level.
